LokPilot (Art. Nbr. 50600)
ESU's digital decoder is the world's smallest multi-protocol decoder. It combines the necessary switching relays for AC - locomotives and a high-quality digital decoder for both the Motorola and the NMRA/DCC protocols (Multi-protocol.) It does not matter if the decoder is used on a digital layout using the NMRA/DCC or the Marklin Motorola system or on a conventional layout using AC or DC current, the LokPilot will work as expected, thanks to the well-known ESU quality. Extremely rugged, the LokPilot has overcurrent protection circuits for both the motor and the function outputs. A high frequency motor control circuit results in smooth, silent running of locomotives. The behavior in DC mode will satisfy even demanding model railroaders. The AC mode is able to detect the switching pulse across wide input voltage ranges. The "third generation" back EMF-function (load control) offers a good slow running performance. It is the only back EMF-function on the market offering the possibility to adjust the regulation parameters according to the installed motor type. Thanks to the latest microcontrollers with integrated flash memory, the LokPilot offers a unique update feature. This will help to keep the decoder up-to-date, e.g. in case of a change in the DCC standards.

LokPilot DCC (Art. Nbr. 50601)
The next step in the development of LokPilot, offering features to satisfy the most discerning DCC user. It is a pure DCC decoder and thus the ideal decoder for anyone who does not use the Motorola protocol. LokPilotDCC offers additional functions. The individually programmable speed curve allows precise adjustment to match a particular model. With function mapping, all function outputs may be assigned to any function key. For model railroaders of American prototypes, the most important lighting effects like Mars Light, Ditch Lights and Graylights are installed. Naturally, LokPilotDCC offers all features already known from LokPilot.

LokSound
Model railroaders are able to operate their model railroads as close to the prototype as possible now more than ever. An important development has been the introduction of Multiple Train Control systems. Using such systems, a number of engines can be operated on a single track.
By using a sound effects generator, it is possible to play back the original sounds of the desired prototype. Due to limited space in most model locomotives, it has been nearly impossible to build both the Digital Decoder and a sound effects generator within one engine.
With LokSound there is now a module available that combines the so far separately offered modules on one single board. This unique integration of a sound generator into a Digital Decoder has resulted in completely new opportunities for a highly realistic model railroading hobby.
Because the space conditions are different for users of small gauges than for fans of big trains, there are two versions of LokSound available. The LokSound2 Decoder is small enough to fit in locos or freight cars of gauges N, TT, HO and O. The LokSoundXL decoder however was designed to meet the demands of the owners of big trains like I and G.
The original sounds of the prototype are recorded with hifi quality, computer edited and stored in digital form on the memory chip of the LokSound Decoder. In combination with the unique high performance audio power amplifier and specially designed mylar speakers, LokSound reaches a dimension of sound quality never before thought possible.
The Digital Decoder part of LokSound includes all features you would expect from a state-of-the-art decoder, and many more.
All LokSound Decoders
In spite of its numerous features, LokSound is small enough to fit in nearly every HO locomotive. It is also possible to use a gauge N or TT freight car.
The installation itself is straight forward. Since the sound decoder and digital decoder form one unit, there is only a small number of wires to be connected. According to standards, LokSound is supplied with a NMRA/DCC conformed plug. Almost every model locomotive available today comes with a matching socket. Just plug it in, that's it!
The sound part of the LokSound System offers you the most realistic railway sound you have ever heard. After recording the sounds of the prototypes, all sound data is computer edited and stored in a digital form on the memory chip of the LokSound decoder.
This results in many advantages you are sure to appreciate:

LokSoundXL (Art. Nbr. 50450)
The logical consequence of our strong developing efforts and the answer to the demands of the model railroaders who prefer to use big gauges. The LokSoundXL is equipped with all the functions that are needed when the installation in a big gauge loco is considered:

LokProgrammer
LokSound is the first and only sound decoder on the market offering the possibility to customize all sounds stored in its integrated flash memory. Providing such a feature means that everyone can create sounds according to his/her preferences. Do you own a recording of a special steam whistle you would like our LokSound decoder to play back? Just use our LokProgrammer and download the sound into the LokSound decoder. What can you do with the LokProgrammer?
LokProgrammer is an interface box that enables the interested model railroader to change the various settings of the LokSound Decoder. The only requirement is a standard personal computer to which the LokProgrammer is connected. Easy to use software allows everybody to fully control all settings of the LokSound decoder.
